Meet Sarah-Jane Walls (SJ) your teacher

Sarah-Jane Walls, known as SJ, is a trailblazer in the world of Pilates education, blending academic excellence with over 26 years of teaching experience. With a foundation in
Sports Science and Podiatry, alongside advanced qualifications in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound and a Masters in Public Health. SJ bridges the gap between movement science, biomechanics, and clinical practice, offering a fresh and impactful approach to Pilates training.
SJ’s Pilates journey began in 1999, inspired by the teachings of Kathy Grant one of Joseph Pilates’ protégés. This classical foundation profoundly shapes SJ’s teaching philosophy, honoring the heritage of the Pilates method while empowering instructors to adapt it to meet modern demands. Her expertise extends across Reformer Pilates
and all comprehensive Pilates equipment, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education grounded in tradition and innovation.
As the owner of The Rehab Hub in Glasgow, SJ oversees two thriving multidisciplinary clinics and Pilates studios. Her courses are meticulously designed to guide instructors through every stage of their professional journey.
The Universal Reformer Course
offers an ideal entry point for those new to Pilates equipment, delivering a solid foundation in its principles and applications.

Currently pursuing a PhD focused on biomechanics, diagnostic ultrasound, and rheumatology, SJ is a dedicated researcher and international presenter. Her work shapes advancements in movement therapy and rehabilitation, combining clinical expertise with a love for Pilates.Through the Clinical Pilates Academy SJ inspires instructors to embrace the Pilates method fully—honoring its legacy while applying it in contemporary and clinical settings.
